We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Renewable Energy Originator to join our team at Vattenfall. As a key member of our Business Area Markets, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organization and driving our vision to meet our customers' needs in a changing market landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Originate new business opportunities in renewable energy markets, aligning with Vattenfall's portfolio needs and strategic objectives.
- Identify and pursue deal opportunities, focusing on mid- and long-term renewable energy solutions, power purchase agreements, corporate power purchase agreements, and hydrogen offtake.
- Originate, negotiate, and structure complex transactions with external parties.
- Support and work on large M&A transactions and divestment cases.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the German and Nordic energy markets, particularly with renewable generators and customers.
- Lead the deal process from start to finish, collaborating with internal stakeholders and planning and executing negotiations.
- Grow our renewables business and execute asset strategy with Business Area Wind.
- At least 5 years of experience in the relevant power market, preferably in renewable energy origination.
- Academic degree in a technical or economic field, with a Master of Science or higher.
- Strong understanding of the power energy market.
- Proven track record of deal initiation to deal closing.
- Good understanding of the hydrogen value chain.
- Ideal experience in investment banking and M&A transactions.
- Resilient and determined individual who can execute Vattenfall's strategy and achieve our goals.
- Strong networker with the ability to build trust and engagement within the company and externally.
- Strong commercial sense and understanding of trading, risk management, credit risk, back office, and finance functions.
- Effective communicator who can coordinate the deal approvals process within Vattenfall.
- Able to work independently to originate and close deals, while being comfortable in a team environment.
