Senior Production Engineer Assembly Specialist

Job Summary:
Belmont Lavan Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Senior Production Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of assembly processes. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for driving process improvements, ensuring quality and efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Design and Optimization: Lead the design and development of assembly processes and workflows to optimize production efficiency and quality.
- Best Practices Implementation: Implement best practices in assembly techniques to improve quality and reduce waste, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Process Analysis and Improvement: Conduct time and motion studies to analyze current processes and identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure assembly processes align with product specifications and business objectives.
- Process Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain process documentation, including assembly instructions, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and train and mentor junior engineers and assembly staff on process improvements and quality standards.
- Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to assembly performance and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
- New Product Introduction: Support the introduction of new products into production by developing and refining assembly processes, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production engineering role with a focus on assembly processes.
- Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies, experience with process improvements and efficiency optimization, excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in using engineering and simulation software for process design and analysis.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the electronics, automotive, or consumer goods industry is advantageous.
