We are seeking a highly skilled Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Specialist to join our team at Alstom Gruppe. As an EMC Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the electromagnetic compatibility of our railway products.
Key Responsibilities- Support projects in the EMC field and ensure the electromagnetic compatibility of railway products designed and manufactured.
- Enforce EMC design and manufacturing rules.
- Prepare customer specifications and associated cost estimates during tenders.
- Review and interpret customer requirements.
- Verify the design of products and subsystem/system architecture.
- Perform simulation using MATLAB tools to verify design.
- Prepare EMC test specifications (Lab and/or Field Test Plans).
- Verify EMC test specifications and reports from subsystems suppliers.
- Perform EMC tests on test bench, lab, and/or on site and report results.
- Analyse test data using MATLAB tools.
- Constitute EMC Compliance Files at the end of projects.
- Solve EMC problems encountered in projects.
- Participate in the definition/development/improvement of guidelines, process, design rules, reference solutions, and return of experiences.
- Design review checklists, templates of project documents, test specifications, simulation tools, and test instrumentation.
- Develop measurements and analysis methods and tools for an EMC compliant propulsion and auxiliary system.
- Propose and carry out EMC R&D actions.
- Minimum M. Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
- Senior experience in the EMC domain, preferably within the Railways domain.
- Experience in MATLAB script use or other relevant computer programming experience.
- Senior experience within the fields of Power electronics / Electrotechnics, preferably for Railways.
- English fluently (mandatory), Swedish – desirable.
- Personal abilities to work autonomously, proactive, and very good abilities to communicate, to share information and experience within the EMC Network.
