Could you be our full time Electromagnetical Compatibility (EMC) Engineer based in Västerås, Sweden?
Your future role
You will support projects in the EMC field and your task will be to ensure the electromagnetic compatibility of railway products designed and manufactured. Also, you will be accountable for enforcing the EMC design and manufacturing rules.
We'll look to you for:
- To prepare during tenders the clause-by-clause of customer Specifications and the associated cost estimates.
- To review and interpret customer requirements.
- To verify the design of products and subsystem/system architecture.
- To performs simulation with use om MATLAB tools to verify the above design.
- To prepare the EMC test specifications (Lab and/or Field Test Plans).
- To verify the EMC test specifications and reports from subsystems suppliers.
- To perform the EMC tests on test bench, lab and/or on site and reporting..
- To analyse test data with use of MATLAB tools.
- To constitute at the end of projects the EMC Compliance Files.
- To solve EMC problems encountered in projects.
- To participate to the definition/development/improvement of guidelines, process, design rules, reference solutions, return of experiences,
- To design review checklists, templates of project documents, test specifications, simulation tools, test instrumentation.
- To develop measurements and analysis methods and tools of an EMC compliant propulsion and auxiliary system.
- To propose and to carry out EMC R&D actions.
All about you
- Minimum M. Sc. in Electrical Engineering
- Senior experience in the EMC domain, preferably within the Railways domain.
- Experience in MATLAB script use or other relevant computer programming experience.
- Senior experience within the fields of Power electronics / Electrotechnics, preferably for Railways.
- English fluently (mandatory), Swedish – desirable.
- Personal abilities to work autonomously, proactive and very good abilities to communicate, to share information and experience within the EMC Network.
