About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Bid Manager to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our bid management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of bids, ensuring the submission of precise and competitive proposals that align with standard solutions and commercial strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire bid process from initiation to submission, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to gather information, assess project requirements, and translate technical specifications into clear, persuasive proposals.
  • Work closely with sales, project management, and other stakeholders to align bid strategies with business objectives.
  • Develop and manage high-quality bid documents, including technical descriptions, pricing, and project timelines.
  • Conduct market research to understand market trends, competitor strategies, and client needs, and use this information to enhance proposals.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline the bidding process and improve proposal quality, ensuring best practices are implemented.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in the functionality and architecture of railway systems, including a solid background in comprehensive technical bid management.
  • Fluency in both Swedish and English is essential.
  • Proficiency in managing engineering scope and budgets effectively.
  • In-depth understanding of products, signalling systems, and standards within the railway industry.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and coordinate the team during the bidding process.
  • Exceptional interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to effectively communicate, collaborate, and influence executives and colleagues.
  • Comfort working in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive with a strong sense of anticipation.
  • Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities are essential for this role.
  • Master's or bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Scientific disciplines, or Project Management.
