About the role
We are building the modern BI platform for digital native companies. Some of the most forward-thinking companies, like Voi, Bounce.com, rely on Steep to empower all employees to explore, analyse and create reports together. The first BI platform built for all users, Steep is powered by a metrics-first approach and is designed for how modern companies want to work.
Our ambition is to become the future leader of the BI category and for our next chapter we are building a sales organisation to reach customers globally. Which is where you come in.
We are looking for a Founding Account Executive to join our committed commercial team. In this role you will lead new business and expansion across several different segments. The ideal candidate will help meet the needs of our fast moving, digital native clients while working strategically with Steep's co-founder, Johan, to help develop our enterprise sales motion.
We are looking for someone who has at least 2-3 years of experience working in sales at an early-stage B2B SaaS company (ideally 3-4 years as AE) and loves working with customers to help them solve the hardest problems in their business.
About the team
We are a team of senior people coming from Spotify, Zettle, Paypal and Kry. We are solving the problems we saw first-hand at these companies and we know how to build and grow category-leading products.

Responsibilities
- Close new business opportunities across multi-stakeholder engagements.
- Educate and engage with senior-level analytics leaders on the benefits of Steep's innovative metrics-first approach.
- Taking qualified prospects through Steep's POC process. Starting with scoping success criteria, understanding business requirements, and working through driving a mutual success plan post-POC
- Help us prioritize and contextualize the customer roadmap. We will rely on you to communicate to our product and leadership team what is most important for our current and prospective customers.
- Build pipeline through converting inbound leads, driving the outbound sales motion, and representing Steep at global conferences (e.g. Data Council, Coalesce).
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing and Sales Development team to creatively pursue pipeline generation with data & analytics leaders in Europe and the US.
