About the role

We are looking for an Operations Director responsible for creating and executing a country operations strategy that maintains brand standards and helps increase restaurant sales and profitability through operational improvements and company-led initiatives. The role will be responsible for Burger King Operations and Franchise Business. The role will report to the Managing Director BK Denmark & Sweden.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage knowledge of the quick-service restaurant industry and Burger King's overall strategic plan to develop and adjust the brand's Operational strategy in Sweden.
  • Evaluate overall operational performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics.
  • Ensure brand standards are being met while setting strategies for improvement.
  • Meet sales and operations KPIs by creating action plans to reach performance targets and close the gaps in key operation metrics, including but not limited to speed of service, food quality, guest satisfaction, traffic, sales and profitability
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy training and support programs for all levels of the restaurant operation.
  • Develop digital operations improvement strategies and lead restaurant technology projects and deployments.
  • Build relationships with franchisees to gather ongoing feedback from restaurants and facilitate best practices throughout the system.
  • Support operations teams in their interactions with franchisees and restaurant teams.
  • Facilitate the creation and deployment of tools to support routines in restaurants that drive profitability, guest experience, and restaurant operations.
  • Responsible for the growth and development of internal and external talent within a defined territory through effective leadership, performance management systems and processes in support of building a talent pipeline.

Requirements

  • Minimum a Bachelor's degree.
  • 8 - 10 years of experience in operations or related fields within QSR or retail and working in a franchised operating model is preferred.
  • Ability to establish and build effective relationships and a proven track record of team leadership.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in different forms and with different audiences.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data using spreadsheets, data visualization software, etc.
  • Problem-solving, negotiations, and project management skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in PowerPoint and presentation creation abilities.
  • Ability to travel throughout Sweden approximately 50% of the time.
  • Honesty, high integrity, personal accountability, and a passion for the success of the brand, the team, and personal career growth.
