Join Our Team as the Sales Strategy Director

A leading company in the machining industry is looking for a passionate Sales Strategy Director to join their global Sales team. This role is all about shaping and driving the global sales strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company's vision. You'll be part of the Sales Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales. The position is global, with a flexible location, ideally working hours aligned with the European time zone.

Your Role

As the Sales Strategy Director, you'll be at the heart of our global sales strategy, creating, implementing, and refining plans that align with our company's goals. You'll work closely with the Sales Leadership Team to develop a long-term business plan, spotting growth opportunities and keeping an eye on market trends, technology shifts, and geopolitical changes.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and maintain a dynamic global sales strategy, with an annual review that fits with our broader company strategy.
  • Work with the Sales Leadership Team to craft a 5-year Business Plan, identifying growth areas by geography and segment.
  • Lead the Sales Project Management Office, ensuring we have top-notch project management for key global initiatives.
  • Build a network to explore next-generation opportunities, anticipating market trends and customer preferences 5-10 years ahead.

What We're Looking For

  • A natural leader with a collaborative spirit, capable of guiding multicultural teams through change.
  • Proven experience in crafting sales strategies for a global organization, especially with a background in Digital and/or AI businesses.
  • Strong understanding of industrial sales and what drives market development today and in the future.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects, bringing innovative ideas for continuous improvement.
  • A sharp business mind, with strong financial acumen, and a customer-focused approach.
  • Skilled in balancing long-term goals with short-term results and operational performance.
  • Excellent at building relationships and collaborating with diverse partners globally, embracing different cultures.
  • Fluent in English, with additional language skills a plus.
