About our team

Welcome to Technology Strategy Team within Group Technology. We drive Nordea’s technology transformation and support our Head of Technology/Chief Information Officer in strategic initiatives across technology value chain. By providing a holistic view and structured understanding of the bank, and its surrounding environment, we help enable the Customer Vision and the Business Strategy. We are a small team looking for an experienced, dynamic, and forward-thinking Strategic Partner to work with the development and implementation of our existing technology strategy as well as future strategies. We support innovation and help the preparing the bank for new technologies.

The objective of the current strategy is a simplified technology estate allowing Nordea to increase customer satisfaction, reduce operational risks and achieve its benefits of scale. To create a fit for purpose technology capability ensuring the bank is ready for its next strategic move.

What you’ll be doing

The implementation work is focusing on streamlining our application landscape and on establishing enabling target technologies in the areas of infrastructure, data, cloud and AI. We are also working to align our operating model in Technology to support the strategy implementation by bringing technology and business closer together.

As a Strategic Partner within Technology Strategy, in short-term, you will play an essential part in the implementation, and in longer-term our team will work to define Nordea’s strategies related to e.g. Cloud and AI. Take active part in shaping and implementing a brand new technology strategy in Nordea and the supporting operating model Manage implementation projects and streams Support in overseeing and reporting on the totality of the technology strategy implementation to our stakeholders and Executive Leadership

You have passion for sustainability and are determined to include this in strategy and day-to-day decision making. You have solid experience in setting a strategic direction and project execution.

Hands-on experience in technology, strategy development/portfolio management, and/or technology operating model design Strategic mindset and strong problem-solving capabilities Highly organized with a strong ability to create structure Experience in working with senior executives and stakeholders to align outcomes with Nordea’s strategic objectives Proven track record in leading large projects, capable of navigating a complex, matrix organization and to make things move Competitive with a strong drive to push things forward with a positive & solution-oriented mindset Excellent skills in relevant tools, such as PowerPoint and Excel

Your experience and background:  

5+ years of experience as a Management Consultant from a top-tier firm or similar roles in strategy development / portfolio management, preferably in technology Additionally, multiple years of hands-on experience in leading projects and/or programmes, preferably in technology, with excellent track record Exceptional strategic planning and business acumen, with a broad understanding of trends in the banking industry and technology Have superior interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, being able to navigate and collaborate within a complex, matrix organisation Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present technical information in a clear and understandable manner
