Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Cost Manager/Estimator to join our team in the Nordics. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with clients and stakeholders to provide cost management consulting services, driving delivery and enabling successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, resolving delivery and commercial issues while preparing reports on time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Control costs using conceptual estimating, funding stage gates, basic contingency principles, and procurement principles.
  • Create and/or work within a cost report, summarizing financials in an executive-level dashboard.
  • Lead the evaluation of project time, cost, and quality targets, applying governance controls as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate and lead planning sessions and workshops with clients and vendors to compile the master project/programme schedule, agreeing baselines and a critical path.
  • Guide and influence the general contractor, ensuring they're progressing in line with the schedule and within agreed cash flow parameters.
  • Understand procurement principles, collate lead times from vendors and clients into the master schedule, and communicate prioritization of ordering materials and equipment to meet scheduled install dates.
  • Work closely with the project team to stay informed on project changes, incorporating and communicating these to the project team to allow for approvals in the change management process.

Requirements

  • Experience in the construction of Hi-Tech, Manufacturing, Industrial, Data Centres, Pharma, or other related complex asset types.
  • Proven experience in cost management in all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Strong measurement and cost planning expertise.
  • Strong experience with spreadsheets and databases.
  • Collaborative approach, able to develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, internally and externally.
  • Good organization skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated strong listening and communication skills.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and verbal. Swedish language skills are not essential.
