Your Role as Commercial Development Director
You will be responsible for the commercial development of our water solutions division in the Nordic region. Your key tasks will include participating in communication actions, prospecting potential new customers, preparing proposals, negotiating prices, developing strategies to boost sales, managing customer portfolios, and ensuring commercial follow-up to make them long-term customers.
You will play a crucial role in business and profitability growth, reporting directly to the Division Sales Manager, Nordics & Baltics. The role involves frequent travel and industrial site visits within the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and executing commercial strategies to drive growth in the Nordic market.
- Leading cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Managing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
- Collaborating with the Europe Operations Team to develop technical proposals.
- Negotiating prices and contracts with customers.
- Establishing sales and development plans for the Nordic region with the support of the Division Sales Manager.
- Implementing business development plans to drive growth and expand our customer base.
- Monitoring and analyzing sales performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Providing regular updates and insights to senior management.
Requirements
- Master's degree or Engineering degree with relevant working experience.
- Technical background in water treatment processes and technologies.
- Working experience in sales and business development in the water treatment industry.
- Proficiency in English and Swedish for effective communication with technical and non-technical personnel, including clients, team members, and management. Proficiency in Danish is a plus.
- Knowledge of Google Application Suite and/or Microsoft Office software packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Capability to work across cultures, borders, and different methods of executing business within an international team.
