Release Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Release Manager to join our team at Dabster. As a Release Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of new releases to technology platforms and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate planning and maintain the release roadmap for one or more applications.
  • Release and deployment planning and coordination of multiple parallel releases.
  • Plan release go live, and post go live activities.
  • Plan, coordinate, and track change activities throughout the release process.
  • Lead release decision meetings to secure stakeholder approval for each release milestone.
  • Plan and set up handover sessions from development teams to operations teams.
  • Increase release quality and efficiency by integrating new techniques, automation capabilities, and DevOps ways of working to release orchestration.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or related disciplines.
  • Excellent networking and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical person with great coordination and planning skills.
  • Paying attention to details with the ability to keep an overview to deliver commitments and dependencies to others.
  • Accountability, proactivity, and ability to quickly adapt and respond to change.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Flexibility to work extra paid evenings and weekends for the implementation of events.
  • Practical understanding of Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
Technical Mindset:
  • IT project management and planning skills.
  • Previous experience from release or deployment management activities, preferably from the banking sector.
  • Experience working with incident, problem, and change management tools and processes under ITIL framework, preferably on the client side.
  • Confident working with Project Management tools, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience working with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices.
  • Basic understanding of DevOps ways of working.
