Your Role

As a Release Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting Caverion Group IT's development process execution. You will work closely with Development and Operations teams to ensure that new software releases are properly tested and meet quality standards before being deployed to production environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate activities needed for Caverion IT development process practical execution
  • Develop and maintain release calendars and schedules, and track release progress for several major software applications
  • Identify risks and issues that could impact the successful release of new software or features
  • Ensure that release changes, technical and business-related, are properly documented and communicated in the form of release notes
  • Ensure that the development and change management process goes as smoothly as possible
  • Keep an eye on post-deployment issues and follow Releases Quality KPIs
  • Continuously seek opportunities to develop and automate processes and toolsets used, and coordinate such development actions
  • Possibility to act as a cut-over manager for more complex projects, in accordance with your experience and interests
  • Possibility to coordinate some of the feature or solution development initiatives yourself, in accordance with your experience and interests
We Value
  • Experience in a similar role (5+ years); for example, you could have worked as a developer, development manager, project manager, release manager, or scrum master
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and methodologies
  • Excellent project management and cooperation skills
  • A "hands-on" person who is able to do troubleshooting and solve problems that arise during the release process
  • Good understanding of different IT technologies and the differences in their release processes
  • Experience in using JIRA and ServiceNow
  • Good English communication skills, spoken and written, and preferably one of the Nordic languages or German
