About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Coordinator to join our Environmental Policy and Strategy (EPS) team at the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI). The successful candidate will provide technical support to a diverse portfolio of projects in the Eastern Partnership (EaP) and Western Balkan (WB) countries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project management support: Ensure the smooth day-to-day implementation of projects, assist in project planning, budgeting, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Administrative and procurement support: Support procurement processes, including drafting Terms of Reference, ensuring technical service delivery, and managing contractual obligations.
  • Event coordination: Organize and manage logistics for meetings, events, workshops, and webinars, including scheduling, content development, and logistical arrangements.
  • Research and documentation: Collect and analyze data, contribute to research efforts, and prepare necessary documents such as policy papers, analyses, summaries, and communication inputs.
  • Team collaboration: Work closely with EPS team members to implement the EPS strategy and action plans, fostering a collegial and collaborative team environment.
  • Opportunity and partnership development: Identify new partnerships and fundraising opportunities and contribute to developing new projects.
Requirements
  • An advanced university degree in project management, international relations, political science, sociology, social sciences, public administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, planning, and implementing project activities, including administration, logistics, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
  • At least three years of progressively responsible experience in sustainability, environmental protection, or public policy, preferably within government, international organizations, or NGOs.
  • Experience or interest in fundraising, including bid preparation and grant writing.
  • Professional fluency in English, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and MS Project, and other relevant software such as Asana.
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and international working experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to convey SEI's core values in daily work, including respect and trust.
