Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Planner at AFNORD AB, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and scheduling of various project workloads, including creating, maintaining, and reviewing project schedules.
  • Collecting and analyzing information to prepare comprehensive status reports.
  • Evaluating current procedures and recommending process improvements to enhance project planning efficiency.
  • Monitoring schedule compliance levels and identifying the root causes of completion deficits.
  • Collaborating with project managers and engineers to discuss project progress and address any arising issues.
  • Working with external contractors and suppliers to coordinate scheduling and planning efforts.
  • Presenting project information to internal stakeholders during meetings.
  • Developing tenders to support project initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Excel, including data summing and graphing techniques.
  • Understanding of change management processes and ability to assist with change work in projects.
  • Experience with schedule forecasting techniques and project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) setup.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentation.
  • Understanding of technical principles and a methodical approach.
  • Proficiency in planning software, including MS Project and Primavera P6.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and individually.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, with experience in heavy infrastructure or construction being an asset.
  • Ability to apply critical path method planning techniques to develop detailed engineering and installation project networks and schedules.
