Doctoral Researcher in Fluid Dynamics

KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm is seeking a highly motivated and qualified doctoral researcher to join our team in the field of fluid dynamics. As a doctoral researcher, you will be part of a vibrant research community that focuses on advancing our understanding of fluid dynamics and its applications in various fields.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a project that aims to develop novel methods for designing and managing indoor environments characterized by a favorable thermal climate and minimized airborne particle spread. This project combines laboratory measurements with numerical simulations, specifically Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and advanced Visualization techniques, including Virtual and Extended Reality (VR and XR), to render the invisible aspects of indoor air quality perceptible and heighten awareness of its health impacts on occupants.
The research will be conducted in collaboration with our international partners within the HumanIC European training network, which spans 10 European countries. As a doctoral researcher, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of researchers and scientists, and to contribute to the development of innovative solutions for improving indoor air quality and thermal comfort.
To be eligible for this position, you must have a strong background in fluid dynamics, mathematics, and programming. You should also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The position is available for a maximum of four years, and the salary is according to the KTH doctoral student salary agreement. The application deadline is not specified, but we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
Requirements- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as fluid dynamics, mathematics, or engineering
- Strong background in programming languages, such as Python or MATLAB
