Doctoral Researcher in Advanced Membrane Characterization for Redox Flow Batteries

KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm is seeking a highly motivated and qualified doctoral researcher to join our team in the field of advanced membrane characterization for redox flow batteries.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project that aims to gain fundamental insights into the membranes in redox flow batteries through combining electrochemical cell investigations at KTH with advanced characterization techniques using X-rays and neutrons in combination with molecular dynamics simulations at DTU.
The project focuses on understanding the relationship between structural properties and performance of membranes in redox flow batteries, which are safe and cost-effective for stationary and long-duration energy storage. The PhD student will spend periods at DTU in Copenhagen and attend Nordic 5 Tech activities and courses.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in electrochemistry, materials science, and characterization techniques. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and international research environment in collaboration with industries and prominent universities from all over the world.
