We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled doctoral researcher to join our team at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative project funded by Horizon Europe, aiming to increase the recyclability of steels by removing or mitigating the effects of unwanted elements that accumulate during recycling.
Key Responsibilities- Perform advanced simulation and modelling to optimize the handling of scrap and improve the quality of recycled material.
- Conduct laboratory experiments at high temperatures and use advanced materials characterization techniques.
- Develop and apply machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to support the project.
- Collaborate with universities, companies, and research institutes across the European Union.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as metallurgy, materials science, or a related field.
- Strong background in steel metallurgy and recycling processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English, equivalent to English B/6.
