The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a project that combines laboratory measurements with numerical simulations, specifically Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and advanced Visualization techniques, including Virtual and Extended Reality (VR and XR), to render the invisible aspects of indoor air quality perceptible and heighten awareness of its health impacts on occupants.
The project aims to cultivate early-stage engineers and scientists, adopting a novel, human-centric approach to indoor climate in Healthcare Environments. This position focuses on sustainable methods for designing and managing indoor environments characterized by a favorable thermal climate and minimized airborne particle spread.
The HumanIC network spans 10 European countries, necessitating mobility as part of this role. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with international researchers and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for indoor climate management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in fluid dynamics and indoor climate management
- Develop and implement numerical simulations using CFD and VR/XR techniques
- Collaborate with international researchers and contribute to the development of innovative solutions
- Present research findings at international conferences and publish in top-tier journals
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., fluid dynamics, climate science, engineering)
- Excellent knowledge of CFD and VR/XR techniques
