KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm is a leading technical and engineering university seeking a highly motivated and skilled doctoral researcher to join our team. The successful candidate will be part of the FibReLoop project, a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Doctoral Network focused on promoting the industrial implementation of circular economy strategies for composites.
The project aims to develop modeling tools predicting the processing of composite components out of recycled fibre material systems. The researcher will work on developing constitutive material models describing different aspects of the manufacturing process, including the feasibility of data-driven methods augmented with high-fidelity physics-based models.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in composite materials, composite mechanics, material modeling, numerical modeling, and data-driven methods. They will be expected to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with a professional approach and a goal-oriented mindset.
The position offers a unique opportunity to study in a dynamic and international research environment, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and collaboration with industries and prominent universities worldwide. The researcher will also have the chance to participate in planned secondments at two other locations, in France and Belgium.
To be eligible for this position, applicants must have a master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, with a strong academic record and relevant professional experience. They must also meet the admission requirements for postgraduate education at KTH, including basic eligibility and language proficiency.
The position is supported by an allowance provided by the European Commission, covering both the employee's and employer's mandatory charges. The researcher will be assigned full-time with full social security.
Applications must include a CV, application letter, copies of diplomas and grades, and representative publications or technical reports. The application deadline is not specified.
KTH Royal Institute of Technology is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates. The selection process will be based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and fit with the project's goals and requirements.
