WHERE YOU'LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

You'll join a growing platform for the firm as an Expert Associate Partner and thought leader to support our strategic growth in the B2B Commercial Excellence practice, building GTM capabilities for our clients. You'll help clients specifically around understanding issues from a strategic perspective related to sales enablement and sales operations, use your insights to drive improved business outcomes, and contribute to client development activities.

You'll join a highly successful and accomplished team that will help integrate you into the firm and create a platform for your long-term success. Commercial Excellence is a rapidly growing solution that has outpaced firm growth every year since 2017.

The general scope of the role will include approximately 70%-80% of time serving clients, with the remaining 20%-30% focused on client development opportunities and capability building activities (including IP development, building new tools, evaluating partnerships, etc.). The position will have both a regional and global focus, working directly with practice stakeholders to define priorities, and leverage learnings across geographies.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You'll primarily work alongside our case (engagement) teams in a client-serving role, responsibilities including:

  1. Lead a work-stream and direct team resources accountable for a subset of the engagement answer and deliverables, specifically around GTM capabilities, market opportunity and segmentation, coverage model, sales plays, salesforce management, sales operations and frontline coaching.
  2. Work in an active advisory capacity alongside teams in multiple client engagements, building relationships with client sales and operations leadership as peers.
  3. Identify, validate and prioritize potential client development opportunities.
  4. Attend/lead client updates and presentations highlighting your expertise and experience.
  5. Develop repeatable solutions to drive transformations with clients and productize Bain's offering.
  6. Support teams with the engagement of prospective clients and help build our commercial plan to increase our competitiveness by bringing differentiated expertise and capability, including diagnostics to quickly assess the value at stake.
  7. Support the selling team with demand generation where applicable.

ABOUT YOU

Must haves:

  1. Broad Commercial Excellence experience from previous experience in Consulting and/or Private Equity Value Creation with specific depth in GTM strategy and execution, sales plays, as well as reinventing/re-engineering a salesforce to drive a proven track record of above market growth.
  2. Previous operating experience in a Sales Leadership and/or Revenue Operations role in an industrial/technology business of scale.
  3. Experience working across a breadth of industries, including industrials and technology.
  4. An energetic, direct, and hands-on approach with teams to deliver exceptional work for clients, whether in an initial diagnostic or longer program.
  5. Familiarity with the B2B revenue technology stack including CRM (i.e., Salesforce) and additional tools including Gong, ZoomInfo, Clari, Highspot.

In addition:

  1. Bain undertakes significant Commercial Excellence work in Private Equity and post-acquisition settings, therefore experience with Private Equity portfolio companies would be additive.
