Nordic Managed Services (NMS) is seeking experienced Technical Specialist to our pan-Nordic team for permanent employment. We provide level 3 high skilled service operation for our Nordic corporate customers. Our expertise is focused on next generation software defined networking solutions (SDX, SDWAN, SD-Branch), network security and LAN/WLAN. The position is located in Stockholm or Malmö but you can work remotely from anywhere according to our flexible work concept.

What you will do

We are looking for an experienced Technical Specialist with several years of hands-on expertise in operating firewalls, switches, and WLAN Access Points (APs) with a strong background in network management and a deep understanding of various customer network environments. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Telecommunication or relevant work experience along with relevant training and certifications from leading vendors like Fortinet, Aruba, Cisco, Netskope, and Cato.

We are looking for a team player so the team could learn and educate one another. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential, especially in high-pressure customer-facing situations.

Key responsibilities
  1. Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and WLAN APs.
  2. Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize services to ensure optimal performance and security.
  3. Monitor network performance and implement necessary upgrades and enhancements.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions tailored to customer needs.
  5. Analyze and resolve complex network issues, providing timely support to clients.
  6. Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in networking technologies.
Who you are
  1. Proven experience and analytical thinking in network operations, specifically with firewalls, switches, VPN-services and WLAN APs.
  2. Strong knowledge of Aruba, Fortinet or Cisco products and solutions.
  3. Ability to understand and navigate diverse customer network environments.
  4. Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  5. Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
  6. Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Aruba ACSA/ACSP or ACMA/ACMP) are a plus.
  7. ITIL knowledge about key practices (Incident and Service request management, Problem management, Release and Deployment management) are a plus.
