KAM HOSPITAL CARE SWEDEN & FINLAND

As the Key Account Manager (KAM) in Sweden and Finland for Hospital Acute Care and Virology, you will manage our HIV portfolio and antiviral treatments used to prevent cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection. Your main objective is to work closely with customers to understand their challenges and collaboratively find solutions. The goal is to swiftly introduce our innovations to more patients by focusing on launch excellence, patient access, and increasing clinic-level uptake. This role involves gaining deep customer insights, establishing strong relationships, and optimizing key account management practices. Your responsibilities include account management, pathway optimization, and execution while collaborating with cross-functional teams within and across markets.

You will identify customer needs, create business opportunities, and ensure benefits for patients, customers, and the company. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to engaging with customers, becoming an expert on hospital needs, decision-makers, and patient considerations in your market.

As a core member of the cross-functional team (CFT), you will represent the voice of customers while adhering to ethical codes and local regulations, fostering close working relationships with customers. Reporting to the Nordic & Baltic Cluster Franchise Lead, Hospital Care, you will play a vital role in driving business growth and strengthening external stakeholder relationships.

Primary Activities and Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute customer engagement strategies to drive business growth and nurture relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Utilize customer insights to identify commercial opportunities and provide continuous feedback to the cross-functional team.
  • Gain in-depth expertise in hospital and decision-maker needs by collaborating with customers to understand patient pathways and challenges.
  • Create solutions that add value to medicines and treatments based on insights from hospital accounts, offering scientifically approved disease and therapeutic information.
  • Enhance communication with stakeholders by leveraging a deep understanding of the therapeutic area, treatment options, and industry trends.
  • Implement launch strategies at clinic level to maximize market penetration and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan and oversee tactical implementation as the account strategic manager, working with cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with scientific leaders to organize educational events for key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the launch process.
  • Focus on establishing high-quality engagement with customers to become a trusted partner in addressing healthcare challenges.

Digital and Data:

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the therapeutic and clinical area, including competitor data, and apply this knowledge effectively in the local market.
  • Monitor market dynamics, adapt launch strategies as needed, and optimize performance through data analysis.
  • Drive innovation in value-added services and communication channels.
  • Collaborate with the team to adapt marketing materials for customers.
  • Ensure compliance with company values and standards as well as local regulations.

Experience & Competence:

  • 3-5 years of healthcare experience.
  • Scientific and clinical background to provide disease and therapeutic information.
  • Sales and negotiation skills to promote products and secure formulary positions.
  • Industry and product knowledge to engage effectively with customers.
  • Strong customer relationship management and communication skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop account plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret customer insights and trends.
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders for effective account strategies.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic market environment.
  • Ethical and regulatory compliance awareness.
  • Fluency in local languages and English.
