If P&C Industrial insures large Nordic companies and their risks across the world. Our Nordic Casualty Underwriting team consists of 21 Casualty underwriters, of which nine are located in Sweden.

We are now looking for an experiencedCasualty Underwriter to further strengthen our team in Sweden.

About the role

You will be a key-player in a large and experienced Swedish Casualty underwriting team.

Key-parts of the job include:

  • to handle large and complex clients, including assessing their exposures, designing their insurance programs, and calculating their premiums.
  • to build genuine relationships with clients and brokers, negotiate with them as well as delivering swift and high-quality services.
  • to participate in product-, guidelines- and process development – also in Nordic projects where you will work closely together with other casualty underwriting specialists.
  • to offer experience, knowledge and service to your clients and brokers as well as to assist and support your colleagues. Sharing knowledge and contributing to success for others are fundamental parts of what makes If P&C a successful insurer and a great place to work.
About the team

You will be part of a fun, curious and experienced Casualty Underwriting team handling complex and interesting global Casualty solutions for our clients and brokers. Our Swedish team consist of nine members, three in Gothenburg and six members plus the leader in Stockholm.

In addition, you will participate in client teams. This means that you as an underwriter will work together with our UW Assistants, Account Executives, Risk Engineers, Claims Adjusters and Reinsurance Specialists for specific clients.

Who are you?

You have vast experience from Casualty Underwriting and a deep knowledge of Casualty insurance in the industrial segment. You have experience of setting up and pricing international programs and shared solutions. You have a curious mindset and love to learn new skills and to find the best solutions that match our clients' needs.

In addition, you are a team-player with a strong inner drive, having a proactive and positive attitude, and a genuine interest in risks and assessing them in an analytical way.

You also have:
  • Relevant education, e.g. degree in law, economics, business administration or similar, alternatively other educational background together with relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years of underwriting
  • Very good communication and cooperation skills
  • Analytical approach and strategic understanding
  • A fine balance of being detail oriented and understanding the broader picture
  • Interest to utilize data and digital solutions in our business
  • Strong English and Swedish language skills
