The mission of the Regional Sales Manager role is to drive sales growth in a defined geographic area through a mix of account management and new business development.

Main Responsibilities

  • Achieve set sales targets outlined in the Sales Plan
  • Visit prospects for roughly 80% of the workweek
  • Aim to meet quotas and specific targets set by the Sales Director
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with potential and current customers through regular visits (at least 250 per year)
  • Manage critical sales, contract, and account retention relationships
  • Create and deliver presentations following the solution sales process
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director on a plan to actively pursue new business
  • Proactively engage with team members to ensure top-notch service and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in local/national conferences or exhibitions and present to large audiences as requested by the Sales Director
  • Generate accurate call reports with actionable points within 24 hours of contact
  • Assist the Sales Director and Account Executive in drafting proposals and quotes for clients
  • Attain an expert level of knowledge about EBSCO products and competitors
  • Identify and address market needs in consultation with the Sales Director
  • Research and suggest enhancements to our service approach
  • Ensure timely completion of all administrative tasks related to the role

Essential Qualifications and Experiences

  • 5+ years of sales experience necessary
  • Prior travel experience and ability to travel 80% of the time
  • Reside within the territory: Stockholm Sweden and Greater Metropolitan Area
  • Demonstrated communication, follow-up, and sales capabilities

Desirable Qualifications and Experiences

  • Experience in sales to higher education and knowledge sector is preferred
  • Knowledge of SaaS and Information Service technologies is advantageous
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in prioritization and territory management
  • Cold calling proficiency
  • Demonstrate strong initiative
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and video conferencing technology
