As Director of Business Innovation & Foresight at Innovation Lab, your mission is to create the next horizon of sustainable growth in new digital services and to accelerate the digital transformation within the Volvo Group. You and your team will collaborate with key stakeholders within business areas across Volvo Group. Together you will proactively discover, incubate, and accelerate new opportunities enabled by digital technologies, data, societal trends, and business models. The role requires an agile, networked, and servant-based leadership style, an open mindset, and a passion for creating new values for our customers, Volvo Group, and society.

The position reports to the VP Innovation Lab and is part of the global management team of Innovation Lab.

As Director of Business Innovation & Foresight, your key responsibilities are:

• Initiate and drive new service innovation initiatives from strategizing and discovery, through validation and market launch, in close collaboration with Volvo Group stakeholders and external partners.
• Manage the innovation and Advanced engineering portfolio, ensuring visibility and progress according to set plans.
• Drive foresight and research of future growth areas and value pools in collaboration with business areas.
• Continuously develop the innovation and new service development playbook in close collaboration with the teams.
• Ensure close collaboration within the Innovation Lab function to leverage the full global capability through multidisciplinary teams.
• Secure hand-over and diffusion of the innovation results in commercialization at scale and knowledge transfer.
• Be an active member of the Innovation Lab global management team. As a member of the management team, you will be involved in developing the Innovation Lab function.

We are located at Lindholmen Science Park in Gothenburg, in the heart of a vibrant area that lives and breathes innovation in areas of IoT, autonomous driving, connectivity and electromobility.

We think you have a master's degree within Business, Technology or equivalent, with several years of leadership experience and proven track record of leading diverse teams. We also believe you have experience and understanding of methods such as business model design, Design thinking and Lean start-up methods. You have experience of innovation management and excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively drive transformation in a large global organization. You also have humor, because in the end, working here should be fun.

We believe you are someone who are passionate about creating growth through leveraging new digital technology and understands how to design business models that scales. Personal credibility, integrity and with a focus on delivering results are crucial personal characteristics. You are a social person with strong relationship capabilities and enjoy working with others in flexible team constellations. You have a passion for business creation, digital technology, an interest in people and are fluent in English.

It is considered beneficial if you have a strong network of potential collaboration partners and capabilities to create new partnerships to be leveraged within Innovation Lab and Volvo Group. Previous experience from management consulting and digital business building is also meriting.
