As our Cyber Security Associate Director, you will take charge of leading, developing, and maintaining cyber security risk reduction initiatives within each IT Business Technology Group and designated country businesses. This position plays a critical role in aligning the global Security Policy Framework with IT business functions.

Accountabilities:

In this role, your responsibilities will include developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and operating practices. You will coordinate the development and distribution of risk profiles to IT business audiences, ensure compliance with all AstraZeneca Security Policy Framework requirements, support cyber risk assessments, provide recommendations to IT leadership, enhance the Cyber Security and Awareness education program, and deliver appropriate training for employees and contractors.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Relevant technical degree or equivalent (CISSP, CISM, CCSP) and leadership skills for various Security initiatives
  • Extensive experience in Security within a complex, multinational corporate environment
  • Deep understanding of information security technologies, networking, and network architecture
  • Global perspective on privacy, security, and data protection matters
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, ability to work autonomously, set direction and goals
  • Proven track record in developing innovative solutions, thinking creatively
  • Capability to analyze and communicate complex scenarios, assess risks, balance security needs with business requirements, risk tolerance, and innovation
  • Knowledge of third-party risk management in vendor partnerships
  • Experience working in a global organization with geographically dispersed partners and team members

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in cyber security assessments and penetration tests
  • Work experience in various IT disciplines and industries
