We are looking for a Talent and Performance Manager to join our fantastic team and shape the future of our talent management strategy.

As a Talent and Performance Manager, you will be a key player in developing and executing our company-wide talent management strategy. You will be part of the Group HRBP and Excellence team and this role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute significantly to our company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategize and Implement Talent Management Programs: Develop comprehensive talent management strategies that align with Northvolt's values and goals. This includes developing and leading the talent review process to assess our talent pipeline and identify potential gaps.

Succession Planning Strategy: Develop and implement a robust succession planning strategy to ensure the continuity of key positions within the company. This includes identifying critical roles, analyzing the skill requirements for these roles, and anticipating future needs and changes.

Strengthen Performance Management: Take a leading role in enhancing our performance management process. This includes refining performance metrics, optimizing performance assessment tools, and providing managers with the necessary training for effective performance evaluations. Additionally, you will develop strategies for addressing performance issues and drive initiatives to recognize and reward high performance.

Build a High-Performance Culture: Work closely with HRBPs and company leadership to promote a culture of high performance. Develop and drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, motivation, and productivity.

Develop Employee Development Roadmaps: Collaborate with HRBPs and departmental leaders to establish development roadmaps for employees at all levels. This includes designing targeted development initiatives, career progression plans, and leadership development programs.

Leverage Talent Analytics: Oversee the collection and analysis of talent data and utilize this data to inform decisions about talent management strategies and initiatives. This includes identifying trends, predicting future needs, and assessing the effectiveness of current programs.

Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and refine our talent management strategies and initiatives to ensure they remain effective and relevant. This includes staying abreast of the latest best practices and incorporating them into our talent management approach.

We believe that you have:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Min. 7 years of experience in HR/Talent (or similar field), whereof minimum 5 years experience in Talent Management and a proven track record in talent management, succession planning, and performance management with a successful history of driving such initiatives independently. Preferably from high-paced organizations.
  • Excellent skills in English both orally and in writing
  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in talent management.
  • Must possess excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to use data to inform decisions.
  • Initiative and Drive: We are looking for a self-starter with the ability to drive their work independently. The ideal candidate is passionate, proactive, takes initiative, and is not afraid to challenge the status quo in pursuit of excellence.

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels within the organization. The candidate must be comfortable with presenting to senior leadership and facilitating discussions around talent management strategies.
  • Business and HR Acumen: Strong business and human resources acumen is a must. The candidate should understand how various parts of the business interact and how decisions in one area can impact others. This includes a deep understanding of HR processes and policies. Bonus points for:

  • Experience and interest in the manufacturing industry
  • Fluency in other languages (Japanese, Swedish, Chinese, French)
  • A background in HR within manufacturing organizations, high speed, and an agile mindset, someone who has a variety of knowledge of different roles within HR but also it would be beneficial to be able to think big and utilize modern tech and have a future view to drive results and talent.
  • A clear leader with a can-do attitude, with a willingness to deliver, this person should and will be able to manage stakeholders across all areas of the business and be able to secure buy-in to drive future initiatives and deliver on our growth and success.
