Job Description:

BASIC PURPOSE

The purpose of The Sales Rep is to implement and execute Mars category and customer strategies in local stores in order to drive Total Mars Sweden NSV and profitability. In each district Sales reps will maximize sales of Mars brands while at the same time driving the total category as well as customer satisfaction in the stores.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (each item should account for 10% or more)

Daily tasks

• Cover sales district’s stores with optimal frequency within defined Customers in accordance with Field Sales visit plan

• Deliver sales targets per sales cycle on both qualitative (Perfect Store, distribution, shelves) and quantitative measures (volume/display sales, display coverage, 52 week secondary placements) in the sales district

• Constantly strive for best execution in store in line with Mars category principles and Physical Availability targets. Implement central chain level decisions into local stores with tactical and practical level.

• Financial responsibility: Manage NQC/returns to minimize cost and stay within budget. Negotiate merchandising according to defined criteria
(country specific)

• Lead instore merchandising: Continuous follow up on criteria fulfilment for merchandising and leadership/control of merchandising performed by 3rd party partner.

• Administrative responsibility: Reporting according to Guidelines (iPad), storage of sales material.

Customer Focus

• Build strong customer relationships based on integrity, trust and mutual benefits with customers, . “winning hearts & minds of local stores” to become the preferred partner (first point of contact).

• Find balance between implementation of central customer guidelines and local adaptation to maximize the performance in each store.

• Drive Customer engagement as measured in country specific Trade Survey. Focus on category development and profitability for the store.

• Build and implement local Shared Business Plans with top customers in the district.

Team participation

• To proactively feedback information and analyses to Line Manager (pricing, out of stock, weighted distribution, shelving and display)

• Contribute to driving team engagement and building a High Performing Team.

• Sharing best practices and actively give/seek feedback to/from colleagues in the Sales team and cross functional.

• Actively drive/suggest changes in ways-of-working to improve Team and Individual performance.
