Un Sous Chef es responsable de dirigir todos los aspectos de la cocina para que los huéspedes y miembros disfruten de una excelente experiencia y, a la vez, asiste con las consultas de los huéspedes y controla los costos.



¿Qué voy a estar haciendo?

Como Sous Chef, serà responsable de dirigir todos los aspectos de la cocina para que los huéspedes y miembros disfruten de una excelente experiencia. Un Sous Chef también deberà ocuparse del suministro de alimentos, asistir con las consultas de los huéspedes y controlar los costos. Específicamente, serà responsable de realizar las siguientes tareas de acuerdo con los estÃndares mÃs altos:

  • Dirigir todos los aspectos de la cocina, entre ellos, las funciones operativas, de calidad y administrativas
  • Administrar el suministro de alimentos a los restaurantes y tomar medidas cuando sea necesario para asegurar que se cumpla la legislación vigente
  • Asistir para alcanzar resultados positivos ante las consultas de los huéspedes de manera efectiva y oportuna
  • Asegurar que los alimentos sean de buena calidad y se almacenen correctamente
  • Controlar los costos sin sacrificar los estÃndares, mejorar los mÃrgenes de ganancia bruta y otros objetivos departamentales y financieros
  • Asistir a otros departamentos cuando sea necesario y mantener una buena relación laboral
  • Cumplir con las normas referidas a la seguridad del hotel, a la protección contra incendios y a la legislación en materia de salud, seguridad y alimentos
  • Informar cuestiones relacionadas con el mantenimiento, la higiene y los riesgos
  • Tener conciencia ambiental

  • Habilidad para trabajar de manera individual o en equipo

Para ocupar esta posición, es favorable demostrar las siguientes capacidades y distinciones:

  • Experiencia en una posición de cocina similar
  • Pasión por la cocina
  • Conocimiento de las tendencias actuales del mercado
