Ki-DS - Bättre Digital Barndom is a movement dedicated to fostering a Better Digital Childhood. Combining research, policy, and parental support, Ki-DS addresses the growing societal challenge of how smartphones and screens influence children's health, development, and safety. Role Description


Are you a UX designer who wants to be part of a global movement for children's digital well-being?

Ki-DS is looking for a volunteer UX designer to help create better digital experiences on our website

Together with our tech-team, you'll design user-friendly and accessible flows and interfaces that make our message about a Betteer Digital Childhood easy for visitors to engage with.

You'll have support from our marketing team for graphic design and copywriting when needed.

We are looking for someone who:

Has an eye for structure, accessibility, and aesthetics

Has previous experience in UX design

Enjoys combining analysis with creativity and share our passion for children's digital wellbeing

We offer a flexible, meaningful, and impactful volunteer role.
The role will require active involvement in shaping a user-centered approach that aligns with the organization's mission and goals.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Design Thinking and experience in applying user-centered design methodologies
  • User Research and Prototyping skills to understand user needs and create functional prototypes
  • Visual Design and User Experience (UX) to craft intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interfaces
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, or similar is an advantage
  • Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and effectively
