As WE Tech Solutions continue to grow globally, our company is establishing a stronger presence in Asia. We are now looking for a skilled Sales & Project Engineer to support us with local projects and contribute to our long-term development in Japan & Taiwan. This role offers the opportunity for you to work in a dynamic, cross-cultural environment with meaningful tasks, aiming for zero emission shipping.

Responsibilities

Support sales activities in Japan & Taiwan including:

  • Support the preparation of quotations and technical sales documentation together with WE Tech Solutions sales team
  • Support WE Tech Partners in communication with the customer
  • Participate in sales promotion activities in alignment with WE Tech Solutions sales strategy

Support Project Manager in technical matters including:

  • Technical review, Commercial review, Scope verification
  • Prepare customer documentation package
  • Support Project Manager in delivering according to contract and schedule
  • Support Project Manager in purchasing
  • Participate in technical discussions with Customer and Suppliers
  • Support Project Manager in non-conformity handling
  • Project follow up reporting (in Teamwork)

Requirements

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in electrical or automation engineering
  • Eligible to work and live in Japan
  • Fluency in English (Minimum TOEIC score 700), Chinese and Japanese, written and spoken
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar tasks
  • Knowledge of power systems and control systems
  • Coordination skills
  • Excellence in team working and communication in multicultural environments
  • Ability to take responsibility and decisions independently
  • Open mind and positive attitude

Previous experience in the maritime business is seen as a merit.

Preferred Kobe but can be elsewhere in Japan

Salary:

Salary in accordance with company regulations, ¥7M–¥11M.

Working hours:

Flexible working hours, minimum 40 hours per week

Working from home:

Hybrid work and flexible working hours possible as per separate agreement

Holidays and leave:

Two days off per week '週休2日制', including Saturdays, Sundays, and national public holidays

Number of paid vacation days:

Minimum annual paid leave = 10 days after six months of continuous employment. Increases with years of service, reaching a maximum of 20 days after six and a half years of continuous employment.
