Position Overview

WE Tech Solutions is looking for a Project Engineer to support project execution and act as a key technical and commercial interface with customers in China. In this role, you will closely collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure successful project delivery, covering technical reviews, documentation, logistics coordination, supplier communication, and commissioning support. The ideal candidate holds strong coordination skills, technical expertise in electrical or automation engineering, and has solid experience in customer and supplier communication. Experience in the marine or shipbuilding industry will be seen as a strong advantage.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in technical matters and serve as the local point of contact for customers on commercial-related topics.
  • Perform technical reviews, commercial reviews, and scope verifications as required.
  • Assist in the creation of customer documentation packages.
  • Support the Project Manager in ensuring project delivery according to contract, quality requirements, and schedule.
  • Support local purchasing activities and logistics arrangements related to the project.
  • Participate in technical discussions with customers and local suppliers.
  • Attend locally arranged equipment Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
  • Support the Project Manager in handling non-conformities and implementing corrective actions.
  • Contribute to project follow-up reporting and coordinate shipyard commissioning activities.

Requirements

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar project-related roles.
  • Good knowledge of power systems and control systems.
  • Strong coordination skills with the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to take responsibility and make decisions independently when needed.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in multicultural environments and cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese, both written and spoken.
  • Open-minded approach and a positive attitude.
