About the Role

We are looking for a
Senior Data Engineer
with strong expertise in
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with modern data engineering tools, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for cloud automation and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain
    data pipelines
    using GCP services such as
    BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions
    .
  • Implement
    data transformations and modeling
    using
    dbt
    (Data Build Tool).
  • Manage
    infrastructure as code (IaC)
    with
    Terraform
    , ensuring scalable and reliable deployments.
  • Create and maintain
    CI/CD pipelines
    , manage version control with
    GitHub
    , and promote a
    DevOps culture
    .
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to define and deliver high-quality data products.
  • Ensure non-functional requirements like
    security, scalability, observability
    , and
    performance
    are met.
  • Support existing data products and continuously improve system design and technical debt management.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-domain collaboration to promote data mesh principles.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Must-Haves

  1. Proven hands-on experience with
    GCP services
    – BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions.
  2. Strong command of
    SQL
    and
    Python
    for data processing and automation.
  3. Experience with
    dbt (Data Build Tool)
    for modeling and transformation.
  4. Proficiency in
    Terraform
    for IaC deployments.
  5. Exposure to
    CI/CD
    ,
    GitHub
    , and
    DevOps
    practices.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience working in
    Agile
    teams.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and a team player.

Preferred Qualifications

  • GCP Data Engineer Certification
    (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience with
    data mesh architectures
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    cloud security and compliance best practices
    .
