Data Governance Engineer
to join their growing data team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across multiple clients and industries, helping organisations modernise their data platforms and establish best-in-class governance.

Role Overview

You will play a key role in designing, building, and optimising modern data platforms with a strong focus on
Databricks
,
cloud technologies (Azure/AWS/GCP)
and
data governance frameworks
. Depending on your background, you will focus on either:

  • Designing and developing scalable data pipelines using
    Databricks
    ,
    SQL
    ,
    Python
    , and
    Spark
  • Implementing batch and streaming solutions
  • Building data lakehouse architectures
  • Working with cloud-native tools and CI/CD to automate and optimise pipelines

Data Governance Track

  • Defining and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
  • Driving data quality initiatives and metadata management
  • Supporting clients in data cataloguing and lineage solutions
  • Ensuring compliance with GDPR and internal governance requirements

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in
    Data Engineering
    or
    Data Governance
    roles
  • Hands-on experience with
    Databricks
    (engineering or governance perspective)
  • Strong SQL and Python skills
  • Experience with at least one cloud platform:
    Azure (preferred)
    , AWS, or GCP
  • Understanding of data modelling, data quality, and data lifecycle management
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Consultancy mindset: proactive, adaptable, and client-focused
