Commercial Associate

We provide banking and financial solutions to our clients across 5 key industries - Business & Professional Services, Industrials, Digital-Technology & Communications, Consumer and Healthcare.

The primary responsibility of the Associate will be, in cooperation with the Senior Relationship Managers, to service the banking needs, deepen existing client relationships and acquire new commercial banking clients.

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

• Support senior relationship manager in management of a client portfolio
• Call on clients, jointly with senior relationship managers, to leverage Citi's global network, product solutions and market insights
• Drive prospecting effort, selecting companies, reaching out and ensuring follow-up, alone or with the senior relationship manager
• Prepare pitch materials that senior relationship managers use in sales and prospecting
• Work with regional Industry partners to leverage global industry content for client selection and client dialogue
• Help deliver the key commercial banking product set, including Cash Management, FX, Commodities, Trade, Working Capital and Lending products
• Help deliver Citi's global network by working with bankers and product experts around the world, as well as operational teams, addressing client escalations
• Work with Credit Underwriting and Risk teams to deliver credit to our clients, providing analytical and documentary support
• Work with Corporate Finance and Investment Banking teams at time of structured transactions for CCB clients
• Support the senior relationship manager with analysis on capital returns across transactions, clients and portfolio
• Collaborate with Relationship Associates, who own KYC, client onboarding, implementation, documentation and overall client delivery

Knowledge/Experience:

• Minimum 2 year previous relevant banking experience
• Working within Commercial/Corporate/Investment banking is desirable
• Experience in client facing teams
• Sales, presentation and communication skills
• Analytical and credit skills
• General knowledge of general banking processes
• English. Fluency in any of the Nordic languages desirable.

This Role is a "Controlled Function" Role as defined by the Central Bank of Ireland Reform Act 2010 and Principal Regulations 2011, and amending Regulations 2014, 2015
