We're looking for a tech savvy Product Designer with a passion for creating
world leading music production plugins
. A role where design, technology and music production meet - you'll actually see your ideas come to life in real products used by music producers globally.

At XLN Audio, we help music creators bring their ideas to life with our inspiring software and sample-based content. Our award-winning instruments and plugins – like Addictive Drums 2, Life, RC-20, and XO – are used by hundreds of thousands of music producers, songwriters, and creators worldwide.

The Role

As a Product Designer at XLN Audio, you'll be part of a small, cross-functional team that takes ideas from concept to production. You'll work closely with developers, product and content managers to design, prototype, and implement solutions for our products.

Some examples of what you will do:

  • Lead the
    UI/UX design process
    from early concept sketches and wireframes to polished, production-ready interfaces.
  • Create and iterate on designs in
    Figma
    (and occasionally
    Miro
    for early concepting).
  • Work closely with C++ developers to ensure your designs are accurately implemented. Furthermore,
    implement features and designs
    yourself using scripting languages.
  • Collaborate with
    Product and Content Managers
    in agile product development doing discovery and translating product requirements (PRDs) into intuitive, elegant user experiences.
  • Prototype and refine
    user interactions
    to music production and audio plugin use cases.
  • Maintain and evolve our
    design system
    and UI component library.

About you

You're a friendly team player and self-starter, eager to get things done. You're curious about how things work under the hood and how design decisions affect performance and user experience.

Beyond that, you probable have:

  • A couple of years of professional experience in
    product design
    , ideally for desktop software or complex applications.
  • A strong ability to balance
    creative design
    and
    technical implementation
    .
  • Experience with
    Figma
    and modern design workflows.
  • Experience working with or around
    code
    (bonus if you've scripted or coded UI before - JavaScript, Lua, Python, CSS, or similar).
  • Familiar with
    agile
    and
    cross-functional
    product development processes.
  • Experience in
    music production or recording
  • whether professionally or as a passionate hobbyist.

And yes - we do hold a yearly ping pong tournament. That's when the gloves come off and things get serious.
