To accelerate this mission, we are seeking an
Engineering Strategy & Excellence Lead
— a key role driving alignment, structure, and strategic development across our growing engineering organization. You will work at the intersection of technology, people, and systems to ensure that Blykalla's ways of working enable both technical excellence and long-term scalability.

The Role
As
Engineering Strategy & Excellence Lead
, you will help shape how Blykalla engineers collaborate and deliver. You'll work closely with the Head of Engineering to define our operating model, governance structures, and partner strategy — ensuring we scale efficiently while maintaining world-class technical standards.

This role combines analytical and creative thinking — translating bright ideas into structured frameworks and helping turn Blykalla's ambitions into tangible results. You will develop and refine how we integrate early-phase engineering, R&D, design, and testing, ensuring that every step of our product development lifecycle builds toward excellence and reliability.

You will also play a central role in developing Blykalla's technical partner landscape — spanning strategic collaborations in turbines, control systems, civil works, and other key domains — making sure our partnerships align with our product and engineering strategy.

The position offers deep exposure across the company and serves as a
stepping stone toward future senior leadership roles
within engineering at Blykalla.

Key Responsibilities
As Engineering Strategy & Excellence Lead, you will help shape the foundation for how Blykalla engineers, innovates, and grows.

In this role, you will:

• Co-develop and implement Blykalla's engineering operating model and governance structure, integrating front-end engineering, R&D product design, plant engineering, testing, and quality management.
• Lead structured problem-solving and organizational design to strengthen integration across engineering, design, and testing, enhancing decision-making, efficiency, and technical integrity from concept to deployment
• Shape and drive the strategic development of Blykalla's external partner landscape, defining collaboration models, technical interfaces, and joint development priorities.
• Lead strategic initiatives to advance Blykalla's digital engineering capabilities, enabling data-driven decisions and scalable execution.
• Support the Head of Engineering with strategic initiatives and materials — including OKRs, performance tracking, executive presentations, and organizational planning.
• Act as a key interface between engineering, management, and partners to secure consistent direction and delivery performance.
• Bring energy, structure, and bright ideas to accelerate how Blykalla engineers collaborate and innovate.

Your Profile

• A forward-thinking and structured engineering professional with a broad technical foundation and curiosity for how technology, people, and systems come together.
• Analytical yet creative — skilled at turning complex ideas into actionable strategies.
• Holds a degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical field, providing a solid foundation for understanding complex systems and multidisciplinary environments.
• Thrives in collaboration, enjoys working across boundaries, and is motivated by building something new and lasting.
• Brings strong communication skills and a genuine interest in leadership, organizational development, and continuous improvement.
• Has the ambition and potential to grow into future senior leadership roles within engineering at Blykalla.
• Based in Stockholm.
