JOB PURPOSE

The Strategy Analyst plays a key role in helping to shape Hexagon's strategic direction, to analyse the business portfolio and to evolve the performance management on group level. This position supports the Chief Strategy Officer and the overall Executive Management team with key strategic analyses, evaluation of business performance, and delivering clear and visually impactful reports to executive leadership. Success in the role requires a combination of analytic rigor, strategic thinking, strong verbal and written communication capabilities and strong finance knowledge. The role provides an excellent opportunity to work directly on critical topics for Hexagon in close collaboration with members of Hexagon's Executive Management team as well as strategy and finance personnel.

MAIN DUTIES

• Analyse markets, competitors, and emerging trends to guide strategic decisions.
• Evaluate Hexagon's business portfolio and support capital allocation priorities.
• Build and maintain visually engaging management reporting and dashboards (e.g., Power BI, PowerPoint).
• Conduct analysis on business performance, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Prepare strategic materials for the Board of Directors and Executive Management.
• Apply AI and automation tools to enhance financial analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate across teams on Hexagon Group level and with Business Areas incl. strategy, finance, investor relations

MAJOR CHALLENGES

• Complex analyses:
  synthesizing data from Business Areas, Divisions and individual companies to provide a cohesive view of performance and opportunities. Analyses will required advanced finance knowledge incl. valuation methods, management controlling & reporting metrics
• Adapting to evolving priorities:
  role holder will need to adapt to changing priorities on Hexagon Group level and of Executive Management team.
• Communicating insights effectively to executive leadership:
  Distilling complex analyses into concise, visually compelling narratives for senior decision-makers.
• Independent problem-solving:
  not all challenges are well-defined; role requires independent thinking and problem solving and to come up proactively with ideas and proposals.

JOBHOLDER REQUIREMENTS

• 2–4 years' experience in Strategy Analyst knowledge is strongly
• Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with strong Power BI or data visualization skills.
• Experience in automating management reporting and working with AI tools for analysis.
• Exceptional communication skills — able to tell clear, data-driven stories.
• Collaborative, learning oriented working approach.
• A curious, analytical, and self-driven mindset with a passion for technology and innovation.
• Strategy consulting background is a strong plus
