As a Safety Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring the implementation of unit safety policies, processes, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Identifying and proposing actions to address legal and business environment developments in safety.
  • Providing expertise and support to the business unit on matters affecting safety.
  • Collecting, measuring, and ensuring accuracy of leading and lagging safety data. Reporting performance.
  • Operating the accident & near miss incident investigation process, completing or verifying accident and investigation reports in co-operation with line management and technical specialists.
  • Supporting line management and technical specialists in defining and implementing corrective and preventive actions from audits and investigation findings.
  • Sharing safety-related information throughout the region.
  • Interacting with external stakeholders (i.e., clients and authorities) in matters affecting safety, under direction of the Safety Manager.
  • Actively participating in and contributing to health and safety committees and other safety forums.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A suitable bachelor's or university-level technical and/or occupational safety education.
  • At least 5 years of experience in safety development and management.
  • Familiarity with safety legislation and the ISO 45001 standard.
  • Experience in a similar role, with evidence of developing accident frequency in a positive direction.
  • Excellent communication, training, and organizational skills.
  • The ability to cultivate an understanding and actively caring culture for safety. Act as a role model.
  • A good command of the English language (written and spoken).
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of around EUR 90,000 - 110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as wellness allowances and collective bargaining agreements. You will also have the opportunity to learn more, develop your skills, and enjoy being part of a great team.
