Job Scope:

As a key member of the Nordic Professional Solutions team, you will be responsible for overseeing Business Controlling, Accounting and Credit Control across Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. You will act as a trusted business partner to the General Manager – Nordics and be a member of the Nordic SLT and North Europe Finance LT.

This role is responsible for ensuring the financial oversight and control of the Nordic region, supporting business operations with a high-performing and value-adding Finance Function. This means that business decisions are supported by robust analysis and opportunities are identified based on novel insights. Commercial risks and opportunities are understood and tracked, and accurate forecasts and budgets are developed. The role also ensures local fiscal rules are understood and complied with through strong collaboration with local authorities, auditors and the internal shared service centre.

Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning and forecasting process for all financial KPIs and key financial data of the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Free Cash Flow.
  • Ensure that monthly closing is conducted in accordance with the company's accounting standards and HQ requirements.
  • Provide commentary and insights on the financial results to support management's understanding of business performance.
  • Monitor and track commercial risks and opportunities that arise and collaborate with stakeholders on the management of both and inclusion in future forecasts.
  • Provide analytical support and thought leadership to drive good decision making within the region and build a trusted partnership with the General Manager and wider SLT.
  • Understand and maintain the Groups Minimum Control Standards within the region and continually review and challenge existing processes to ensure control measures are effective.
  • Act as a strong business partner with the Commercial teams to enhance business performance and effectiveness.
  • Lead an effective Credit Control team that protects the credit risks of the business whilst adopting a customer service-minded approach.
  • Build an understanding of the local fiscal obligations and rules for each market through collaboration with local and corporate accounting, tax authorities, advisors and auditors. Ensure fiscal responsibilities are met and seek support where required.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new systems and integration projects.
  • Be the Principle Finance contact for Large/Key Customers within the Nordic region to ensure high levels of service and support are available.
  • Build, engage and lead a high-performing Finance Function (c. 7 FTE) across the Nordics that has a result-driven mindset and a desire to deliver a great service to the business. Support the team with their professional development and learning and identify career pathways and succession plans for high-performing talent.
  • Build a network of relationships across the whole business and North Region to support personal development and effectiveness. Use collaboration and teamwork as a tool to maximise delivery and maintain alignment.

Technical Skills:

  • University degree in business or finance (master's degree preferred).
  • Extensive experience in financial and business administration, controlling, reporting, budgeting, and accounting.
  • Solid knowledge and experience of enterprise-level systems such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion.
  • Strong MS Office skills (advanced in Excel).
