Real Estate Finance Specialist

At Deutsche Pfandbriefbank, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Real Estate Finance Specialist to join our team in the Nordic market.
About the RoleWe are looking for an exceptional professional with expertise in real estate financing, financial modeling, and deal structuring. Your primary responsibility will be to originate and manage loan proposals for existing and potential clients in the Nordic region.
As a key member of our deal team, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and presenting loan proposals to clients, leveraging your analytical and writing skills to convey complex financial information effectively.
- Initial analysis of potential financing opportunities, considering risks and mitigants, and presenting findings to our deal teams and committees.
- Developing detailed financial models and analyses required for real estate financing, including cash flow models, sensitivity analysis, IRR calculations, debt structuring, tenant analysis, and accounting/tax implications.
- Assisting the deal team with various activities, such as attending meetings, following up on client requests, and preparing memos/proposals for internal committees.
- Serving as a deputy for assigned deals and specific aspects of the deal, depending on its size and complexity.
- Contributing to the preparation of term sheets and other transaction documentation as required.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A relevant university education in finance, economics, surveying, or a related field.
- Work experience in an active real estate lender (bank or debt fund), real estate investor, corporate finance, structured finance, or investment banking environment is desirable.
- Strong financial modeling skills and knowledge of the Nordic real estate market.
- Excellent IT skills, with advanced Excel capabilities, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency.
- Fluent spoken and written Swedish and English language skills, with business competence in another North European language being a plus.
- Strong analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Motivation, self-starter attitude, and ability to learn new things quickly.
- Business acumen and negotiation skills.
- Numerate, analytical, and experienced in commercial real estate markets.
