About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Cinematics Technical Specialist to join our team at Electronic Arts. This role is responsible for setting up cinematic shots, lookdev scenes, and reusable prefabs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help set up and optimize cinematic assets for game development
  • Review and improve existing node-based visual scripting logic for game entities and rendering processes
  • Design and implement new logic when needed
  • Identify technical problems and propose solutions
  • Adapt to artistic and technical constraints to provide a workflow for cinematic artists on a per project basis
  • Provide hands-on support to artists and engineers regarding asset performance and validation
  • Collaborate with artists and programmers to create 3D art and ensure seamless integration
  • Work with partner studios to share technology and best practices

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a digital art content creation pipeline, within the video game or film/tv industry with a focus on cinematics
  • Experience within a game engine (Frostbite, Unreal, Unity, or similar)
  • Experience producing outstanding cinematic assets
  • Experience with game development frameworks and methodologies
  • Experience with real-time workflows and the technical hurdles/limitations associated

Bonus Skills

  • Familiarity with 3D DCC tools such as Autodesk Maya, MotionBuilder, 3dsMax, or Blender
  • Experience developing custom tools for Digital content creation (DCC)
  • Knowledge of high-level coding language (Python, C#, mel scripting)
  • Experience with version control systems such as Perforce, Git, or Shotgrid (Flow Production Tracking)

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
