About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Manager to lead our PLM Applications and Tools team at Hitachi Vantara Corporation. As a key member of our IT organization, you will be responsible for managing a team that provides global application support and training in the PLM Area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of IT professionals responsible for the lifecycle of incidents, including communication, investigation, resolution, and documentation, as well as prioritization of new demand requests.
  • Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal and external vendors and ensure efficient reporting of ITIL-based metrics to drive process improvements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with business customers to understand priorities and impact, and track the progress of production issues to ensure timely resolution and communication of progress.
  • Collaborate with business partners, IT partners, vendors, development, and operations teams to provide a problem-free production environment.
  • Quality assurance of new development project capabilities in production, including training, by working closely with operations and development teams.
  • Implement the company's global vision on the department level in accordance with business targets.
  • Define annual strategies, budget, and development plans.
  • Promote a culture of health and safety within the team.
  • Continually follow up and improve processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Build and develop the team by managing employee training and development initiatives, providing strategic direction, leadership, and coordination of the function.
  • Provide insight and manage priorities for the team while ensuring activities performance and quality goals.
  • Take a proactive approach and actively participate in recruiting activities.
  • Plan for project staffing and adjust it according to business needs, as well as plan for both short-term and more strategic long-term changes in the team structure.
  • Manage employee relations, develop, and execute employee engagement initiatives to foster a sense of community among employees.
  • Partner with the management team to develop, improve, and implement strategic people management initiatives and ensure processes are in place to capture and share best practices and operational experiences.
  • Cross-functionally collaborate with other teams to ensure implementations meet customer requirements.
  • Plan and drive team meetings and technical meetings.

About You

  • You have documented experience working with system/application support and a good understanding of IT operations and Product Lifecycle Management practices.
  • Experience as a people manager or other relevant leadership experience with personnel responsibility.
  • Knowledge of computer systems, security, network, and systems administration, databases, and data storage systems.
  • Experience in Agile project management methodologies.
  • Other experience in relevant areas such as talent management, employee relations, human resources, team leading, company founding, start-up or scale-up, business administration, change management, process development, organizational management, staffing, business development, performance management, and/or similar.
  • You have strong communication, social, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees and management.
  • Fluency in English, fluency in Swedish is qualifying.
  • You are ITIL certified and have a good knowledge of DevOps best practices.
