Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Planner to join our team at AFNORD AB. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling project workloads, ensuring timely completion and meeting project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule project workloads, including creating, maintaining, and reviewing project schedules
  • Collect and analyze information to prepare status reports, highlighting project progress and any potential issues
  • Evaluate current project procedures and recommend improvements to streamline project planning and execution
  • Monitor schedule compliance levels and identify causes of completion deficits, implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and external contractors to discuss project progress and address any challenges that arise
  • Present project information to internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and other team members
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including creating and managing project timelines, milestones, and deadlines
  • Utilize project management software, including MS Project and Primavera P6, to manage project schedules and resources
  • Apply critical path method planning techniques to develop detailed engineering and installation project networks and schedules

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex project data and develop effective solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing reports and presenting project information to stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of technical principles and project management methodologies
  • Methodical approach to project planning and execution, with attention to detail and a focus on quality
  • Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in project management software, including MS Project and Primavera P6
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently, with minimal supervision
  • 2+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in heavy infrastructure or construction
