As the Head of Accounting EMEA, you will have the primary responsibility for delivering EMEA's final accounting statements for around 40 legal entities, together with your team. To help you deliver, you will have two direct reports and a finance team of 25 people in EMEA.

Sinch Finance department is currently going through a big transformation, which provides a great opportunity for you to have a significant impact, and make a mark, on Finance Operations and Sinch as a whole, including its work going forward. Two of the projects that are ongoing are the implementation of a new global ERP system and creating a new process governance where you will be heavily involved and have the role as a stream lead.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of two Chief Accountants with responsibility for the work split within the full team and build a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Be accountable for delivering financial statements for the legal entities within the EMEA region.
  • Define and follow up on KPIs.
  • Be responsible for identifying competency needs and planning competency development for the team.
About You:

To be successful in the role, you are a commercially and business-focused accountant with a visionary and strategic mindset yet with strong hands-on ability and understanding, willingness to deep dive into details when required. You are a strong communicator that is clear, concise, engaging, and persuasive across stakeholder groups, adapting the content & language to the audience.

  • Extensive work experience in accounting and financial statements, preferably with experience in developing final account processes, as well as creating new routines and processes with shown good results.
  • Proven experience of setting up a governance process structure relating to R2R.
  • Experience of leading ERP transformation, and projects.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Experience in a global complex company, preferably listed company.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written skills.
