About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plants Lead Engineer to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY SWEDEN AB. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the technical development and implementation of HVDC plants, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical development and implementation of HVDC plants, including overall design, technical coordination, and project management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including project managers, systems engineers, and civil engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that technical deliverables meet customer requirements and company standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure that our projects are delivered with the latest innovations and expertise.
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering.
  • Several years of experience in the energy field, electrical power, electromechanical design, auxiliary power design, or civil design for large projects.
  • Experience with HVDC technology or similar business, such as sub stations, high voltage products, or offshore wind connections.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of HVDC systems, including design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Fluent English language skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
