About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Hitachi Energy as a Plants Lead Engineer HVDC, where you will play a key role in driving our vision and technical deliverables for HVDC land stations and/or offshore platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical coordination with Plants own departments, including Electromechanical design, Station auxiliary power, Civil design and auxiliary systems.
  • Develop and implement the overall technical understanding and design of HVDC land stations and/or offshore platforms.
  • Drive the base design and ensure it meets customer specifications, while acting strategically to provide the best overall HVDC technical solution.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure adherence to processes, manage technical risks, and maintain quality standards.
  • Represent Plants in internal and external customer meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering.
  • Several years of experience in the energy field, electrical power, electromechanical design, auxiliary power design, or civil design for large projects.
  • Experience with HVDC technology or similar business, such as sub stations, high voltage products, or offshore wind connections, is an advantage.
  • Strong technical understanding, with a focus on HVDC, and ability to make decisions for the team.
  • Fluent English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a global team.
