About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVDC Lead Engineer to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY SWEDEN AB. As a key member of our Plants team, you will be responsible for driving our vision, technical deliverables, and developing people.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical coordination with Plants own departments, including Electromechanical design, Station auxiliary power, Civil design, and auxiliary systems.
  • Develop and maintain overall technical understanding of HVDC land stations and/or offshore platforms and its interfaces.
  • Drive our base design, read and understand customer specifications, and act strategically for the best overall HVDC technical solution.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure we follow processes, manage technical risks, and fulfill quality requirements.
  • Represent Plants in internal and external customer meetings.

Your Background

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering.
  • Several years of experience in the energy field, electrical power, electromechanical design, auxiliary power design, or civil design for large projects.
  • Experience with HVDC technology or similar business, such as sub-stations, high-voltage products, or offshore wind connections, is an advantage.
  • Strong technical understanding of HVDC and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
