About the Role
Hitachi Energy Sweden AB is seeking a skilled R&D Electronics Engineer to join our team in Ludvika or Västerås, Sweden. As a key member of our digital electronics hardware design team, you will play a crucial role in developing our electronics systems that control and protect our High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) power stations.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain electrical products and components comprising the brain of the HVDC system.
- Design and implement digital electronics and embedded systems, including requirement management, development of design specifications, and documentation.
- Create robust designs within cost and time limits, considering product lifecycle management.
- Work in a modern environment with rapid prototyping and productification, using tools and labs for the complete electronic hardware development cycle.
- Ensure safety and integrity in your work, adhering to Hitachi Energy's core values.
Your Background
- Hold a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- Have extensive experience in digital electronics hardware development, including industry-standard schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
- Be proficient in processor architectures, signal/power integrity, simulations, and measurement techniques.
- Have experience with thermal management, power and timing budget calculations, EMI, EMC, ESD, grounding, and low noise design on board level.
- Be skilled in board bring-up and debugging, lab equipment, and test setups for signal measurements.
- Have knowledge of electronic hardware development life cycle and obsolescence management.
